At Woolmers Estate, we have a range of heritage, unique and special cottages suited to you and your trip, whether you’re on your honeymoon or exploring the north of Tasmania with friends. All of our heritage cottages are delightfully furnished and offer an extremely comfortable stay with wood heating, electric blankets and all of the other creature comforts to get the most out of your stay with us. The heritage cottages are in the UNESCO world heritage site of the Woolmers Estate.

Coachman’s Cottage

Coachmans Cottage sleeps six people and has three upstairs bedrooms, two Queen and one bedroom with two single beds. There is a separate kitchen and dining room and a lounge room with a wood heater to keep you warm and relaxed. The bathroom is downstairs, and the shower is over the bath, the room includes a washing machine and dryer.

This Cottage belonged to the Coachman who looked after all the carriage horses at Woolmers. Step back in time and love the experience.

gardener’s Cottage

The Gardener’s Cottage sleeps two people and has one bedroom, a queen bed with crispy white linen, and is all on ground level. There is a tiny step down to the bathroom. This old and precious heritage cottage belonged to the gardener of the Woolmers Estate, a very prestigious position. Step back in time and enjoy this beautifully appointed original cottage.

Free Settler’s Cottage

Woolmers Estate have four restored Free Settlers Cottages: Blacksmiths, Coopers, Orchardists and Shepherds. These cottage do appeal to groups or friends travelling together, as they are closely situated together in blocks of two semi-attached cottages. So while they are independent it sometimes is nice to have your own space but also be very near friends and family. Or you can unlock the adjoining door and all be one. Roomy cottages with a king bed upstairs.
